After typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana), it is not surprising to find that by the time we were able to have our car towed to the repair shop, we were behind several other cars. The car repair business has suddenly boomed and their services aren’t needed as much as they are now. Basic stuff has to come first, like getting the flood water flushed from the gas tank and everywhere else it could have seeped in.
Our car is bare as bare can be, on the inside. No carpet, the dead car Pioneer car stereo also had to go because as we had it checked it isn’t repairable anymore. If you happen to be in Manila, the best place to go to for car accessories is still Banawe in Quezon City. This has always been the place to go to ever since I could remember. But then again, maybe the business owners might just be taking advantage of the demand that prices might actually still be higher than usual.
