After having tried Nisce’s Pearl White Cream for a couple of weeks now, I’d say it’s a good product. It is formulated by dermatologist and I have not had breakouts since. Truth be told, my experimenting on products is not exactly the most ideal. But it’s the risk I have to take. Given that discovering good finds is one of the things that I need to do as I blog about beauty stuff.

It is always best to try out products (best acne treatment, facial soap, makeup) that are personally recommended by people you actually know who tried the brands themselves. But keep in mind as well that a brand that works for one does not necessarily work for another. Nisce Pearl Cream is sold for P235 at Nisce Skin ‘n Face.

What are your criteria in choosing things that you use for your skin? Do you use any random beauty product that is new in the market or do you go by the recommendation of friends who vouch for certain brands? It is always best to do the latter.

There are only a few beauty products that I totally vouch for and Dr. Jart BB cream is one of them. It was last month when I was asked to cover for Dr. Jart’s BB cream launch and I can only say this for a fact – it totally works. I used Dr. Jart Detox Healing Blemish Base Black Label.

I was not exactly expecting a major difference, but when two of my milias came off after just a week of using the cream, how can I not approve of it, right? It is definitely the one thing that the modern woman should not do without. It is an all in one cream – anti-aging, whitening, healing. Here’s a confession, when I felt the milia on the tip of my nose coming off, I just had to tinker with it. It is the one thing that is the hardest to refuse. Something that I do not recommend for anyone reading this to do.

I have probably tried 10 different eye creams in the last 12 months. From Christian Dior to Origins, to the cheaper Garnier, even the old school cucumber slice over the eyes. Nothing would seem to work for me. Some say that prevera worked best for them. That I have yet to try.

If there is anything I have learned about trying out different brands, it is this — A pricier and “imported” product is not equal to quality. Take for example the different foreign branded shampoos I have personally tried to date. Suffering from acne is not exactly the easiest of things. Those little zits appear as early as pre-teens and some are bombarded with them for as long as they live. Sometimes it is easier to just listen to old wives tales of getting that washed off blood from menarche rubbed over the face. Never mind the minute icky feeling than to endure decades of suffering from acne or pimples.
