Conti’s Tofu Steak

Tofu Steak did not exactly sound very appealing to me, but it was what I had during my last visit at Conti’s. The very first time my family and I tasted what Conti’s has to offer, we were instant believers. Mango Bravo was to die for. I dined in with my good friend, Beth. Greenhills branch this time, it took us quite a while before we finally got to order. We wanted to try everything but there is only so much that our tummies can hold. She decided on trying out the Supreme Pasta something. I did not really pay attention. I took note of what I ordered.  I chose it is because of this “must-try” sticker on the menu.  Pretty lame excuse, but I’m sure glad to have succumbed to its call.

I actually did not expect much from Conti’s Tofu Steak. For P195 (approx. $4.25), I actually got to have a taste of probably one of the yummiest health food I have ever tried and what’s neat about it is, it did not put a whole in my pocket. If dinner is always this healthy I’m sure I wouldn’t have to go check for diet pill that works.

This yummy dish consists of  healthy stir fried tofu and seasoned shitake mushrooms, served with kani salad and Japanese fried rice. I love Conti’s because of the distinct taste of their every dish. There are some restaurants that are so predictable. You get five different dishes and they kind of all taste the same. This is not the same with Conti’s. Aside from the rich taste of their dishes, they also serve in generous amounts.  You will actually step out of the restaurant full-filled. :-) And as much as I would love to order Tofu Steak on the next visit, I am compelled to try yet another dish. I really loved the Tofu steak, I hope I have said that enough.

Pretzel Pete’s Honey Mustard Nuggets

The Honey-Mustard variant is my favorite amongst all Pretzel Pete’s nuggets. The rich flavor in every nugget is just unbelievably tasty. The flavor quickly dissolves in your mouth and the crisp is just right. I had such enjoyable eating experience that I literally finished a whole pack before I knew it.

Pretzel Pete’s Honey Mustard ingredients are as follows: Wheat Flour, Vegetable Oil (Contains One or More of the Following: Canola Oil, Palm Oil), Sugar, Onion Powder, Spices, Honey Powder, Salt, Vinegar Powder, Maltose, Dextrose, Mustard, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Fructose Malted Barley Flour, Tumeric, Paprika, Yeast, Citric Acid, Bicarbonates and Carbonates of Sodium.

These are some things to take note of for those who are allergic to wheat flour and other ingredients of this yummy nuggets.  For those who are not allergic and are actually addicts of this treat, they might have a cup of Colonix everyday just to be sure your health is not put at risk. A box of this actually caused my UTI for days. It can be pretty salty. A 150gram box of Pretzel Pete costs around PhP 150 each (approx. $3.26).

Angelati Italia Gelato

My love affair with Ciao Bella is replaced by Angelati Italia Gelato, for a reason. I first came across this yummy gelato treat in Megamall and have not seen any other branch aside from it. I dropped the madness I once had with Ciao Bella as soon I tasted my first Pure Pistachio Angelati Italia Gelato.

The smoothness of Angelati Italia Gelato is undeniable. I tried Pagliacci’s gelato in Podium but it just does not measure up. The fact that this heavenly gelato is almost sinless and low fat unlike your regular ice cream, you can actually allow yourself to indulge without having to grab an appetite suppressant.

This gelato is priced at P450-550/liter, depending on the flavor. This photo is taken via my E63 mobile, I’ll make sure to bring my trusty cam the next time I get my next tub and another review on another flavor. Angelati Italia Gelato tops the list of my favorite things.
