The recent Asian undersea cable disruption caused by the super typhoon “Morakot” has taken its toll in this part of the world. This explains the lack of blog updates across several of our websites. Posting is possible with the blogger platform but it was virtually impossible for wordpress. Read the rest of this entry »

Truth be told, this is the season for being practical. And a practical person will always look for ways to economize especially in the event of global financial crisis. We have to struggle to survive. One does not need to be observant to notice that prices of commodities hike up, practically by the day. While prices are hiking up, our income stays the same. So either we overwhelm ourselves with debt or we choose to struggle and survive.
A lot of people are doing business on the side. Buying wholesale handbags, among others and retailing them to people in the workplace during break time. This a wise way to cope with the times. Otherwise, there will be no other way but plunge into the debt pool, which can be very miserable.

If you are into crafts, then one of the things that you have to try out is making rubber stamps. It is really simple and easy. You can try using nylon stamps instead of the usual traditional ones, if you would like to make things easier. Make sure you purchase this certain type that is for that purpose. It will be the image of your stamp. There are chemicals you could use and tutorials are available online.
Stamping is also one craft that I hope to learn in the future. I probably have tried a handful and it is just so nice to be able to create such pretty subjects from scratch.

Is it good for a home to have pets when there are kids around? This is something a couple has to agree on, especially if they both lean to different biases. As true as children can actually learn responsibility when given pets, it should also go without saying that if you are to keep a pet around the house, each pet should be properly vaccinated.

Keeping a dog in the house can actually be extra hassle, but if pet owners/ parents do not mind the bother, aside from having to buy dog supplies on a regular basis, periodic immunizations and grooming, parents should also make sure that your kid is not left alone with a dog. A child can have unpredictable behavior and the same with dogs. It is definitely a no-no to have dogs and cats with an infant.
Children and dogs can become best of friends through time. It is just important to follow simple precautions and guidelines to avoid accidents and danger.

I love reading and I love books. It is a blessing that an uncle from the states gifted us with a library of books that overflow our four huge book shelves. Although it takes a lot of space in our tiny house, this is still a treasure for us to have. We use them a lot in our ministry.

Although we already have a considerable library in our home, I still cannot stop myself from visiting bookstores. I have this particular leaning and it is towards second hand book stores. In fact, this is where I found one of my favorite books, James Dobson’s, The Strong-Willed Child. Shopping books from second hand stores certainly takes the guilt away from being a contributor to lesser trees on the forests. Plus, there were even times that I get promotional water bottles and pens with my loot.
From that shift to brand new book to second hand ones, I am slowly evolving to a lover of e-books. No more pages to turn and no more having to carry that current book in your bag, every time.

How does one review a night dress and actually conclude that it suits you best? The first thing to remember when choosing a particular outfit is comfort. If you think what you have in your hand is the prettiest of all dresses but you happen to be the most bashful to be able to pull it off, then it might not be a good idea to get that piece.

Taking some time to assess your body type is also a priority. Make sure you don’t rob the fun of dressing up by messing it up by getting a piece that does not flatter your body type. You might want to check my other blog KikayCorner.net to assess your body type and figure out from there if the kind of women’s lingerie or any dress for that matter, fits you.

Circulo Verde perfectly tagged its project, “The Place to Celebrate Freedom and Space.” My dear husband came home last night thrilled about its launching. Truth to tell, we are not easily enamored. There were a few places we went to when we were still house hunting some three years ago and we have seen a lot. There were one or two that we really like and were inspired by, especially those who were able to maximize such limited space. Because of those house hunting phase, the hubby was able to layout a space saving design for our very own house. A few months after, our 48sq.m abode mushroomed from nowhere.

Circulo Verde will really be a place to check out and even consider if we did not yet have a place of our own. First, it is within budget. Second, it is in heart of the city. One of the things that struck me is how the genius behind this project was able to make of a 10×3 floor area and made it look like a fab house. Talk about not having to sacrifice style and elegance for price. Monthly payments start at P10,500. Circulo Verde is really the place to celebrate freedom and space. Check out CirculoVerde.com.ph for more information.

Health is Wealth. This old adage stands true to this day. No era, generation can say otherwise despite the advancement in medicine and technology. Sometimes diseases strike us during the most unexpected times. After reading a handful of issues about the diagnosis of mesothelioma and its effect on families, I later found out that it has its ability to turn lives upside down. Which is why it is important to get the support of Mesothelioma lawyers who specializes in these cases. MesotheliomaHelp.net will be the site to look into.
When a family struggles with medical issues it is oftentimes a challenge to get into legal proceedings at the same time, but it does not mean it is not necessary. In fact, it is the opposite, there are a lot of legalities that has to be taken care of. Check out the site for more details.

If there is anything at all that I could consider myself an expert in, it would be being able to know what to look for when looking for a place to stay in. Having had to transfer from one house to another in the first six years of our marriage, we have seen the worse and better places to stay in.
One handy site that you could use for anything
for rent, from apartments, to boats, to horses, trailers, party rentals, et. al., you have to check with Rentlocalstuff.com. It would save you the inconvenience of going from one place to another and enables you to do the process of elimination from the comforts of your own home. Items are posted by category so it adds up to the value of the already user friendly site. Check them out.
