For the Color, the lesser color you see in the loose diamonds, the rarer and more expensive it is. Clarity can only be determined under 10x magnification, checking for blemishes, if any. Needless to say, the less blemish, the rarer it is. Carat is the weight of the diamond, the bigger it is, the pricier it gets. Cut pertains to the brilliance from the intricate cuts of the piece.
